Características das lesões em atletas de levantamento de peso na Indonésia

Resumo

O levantamento de peso requer força, velocidade e potência explosiva máximas para levantar o peso máximo. Levantar pesos acarreta um risco de lesões que podem causar dor, danos e limitação das funções corporais. O objetivo deste estudo é descrever e caracterizar as lesões que ocorrem no levantamento de peso esportivo. Este estudo de coorte retrospectivo utilizou um questionário que avaliou 111 levantadores de peso do sexo masculino que já haviam sofrido lesões. Como resultado, as características dos atletas são idade média de 16,4 ± 3,7, altura de 161,2 ± 8,9, peso corporal de 60,7 ± 14,9, índice de massa corporal de 23,2 ± 4,7, comprimento de braço 67,9 ± 8,8 e comprimento de perna 90,4 ± 8,8 que têm doença crônica lesões. (67%) ocorreram durante o exercício (87%) e a maioria das lesões ocorreu no membro superior (62%). Os locais das lesões são ombros (57%), punhos (10%), costas (33%), quadril/virilha (10%), isquiotibiais (16%) e joelhos (35%) com tipos de lesões sofridas. atletas são distensões musculares (33%), entorses ligamentares (32%) e impactos (35%). 87% dos atletas se machucam durante os treinos, enquanto 13% se machucam durante a competição. Em resumo, este estudo mostra que as características das lesões maiores ocorrem nas extremidades superiores, ou seja, no ombro e lesões incidentais ocorrem durante o exercício.
