Resumo

Objectivo: A dor lombar, uma das principais causas de incapacidade em todo o mundo, impõe um encargo económico considerável à saúde pública. Os exercícios neuromusculares (SNM) podem reduzir a recorrência da dor lombar, mas o programa mais eficaz não foi estabelecido. Esta revisão narrativa teve como objetivo avaliar as evidências sobre o efeito dos exercícios da SNM em pacientes com dor lombar. Métodos: Foi realizada revisão narrativa da literatura eletrônica no período de abril de 2000 a julho de 2023. A busca bibliográfica foi realizada em cinco bases de dados (PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, Google Scholar e Science Direct). Todos os artigos analisados ​​neste estudo foram ensaios clínicos randomizados (ECR). A escala PEDro foi utilizada para avaliar a qualidade metodológica dos artigos. Resultados: Cinco ECRs foram selecionados e incluídos. ECRs mostraram que os exercícios NMS reduzem a intensidade da dor, melhoram o controle do movimento lombar e a função física e previnem a dor lombar. Estudos também mostraram que os exercícios NMS são exercícios que visam melhorar o controle, a flexibilidade e a força dos músculos lombares. A pontuação do PE-Dro varia entre 5 e 7, destacando diversas questões metodológicas.
Conclusão: Os resultados deste estudo sugerem que os exercícios da SNM podem ter um impacto positivo na intensidade da dor na lombalgia.
