The objective of the study was to know the enjoyment and/or boredom, type of motivation, satisfaction perceived quality and overall assessment of the sports service of adolescent high school students who engage in extracurricular physical activity given the importance of its impact on loyalty and maintenance of healthy lifestyle habits. 307 adolescents between 12 and 18 years old (M= 14,78; DT=1,72; 55.7% men; 44.3% women) participated. Three questionnaires were applied: an ad hoc questionnaire, the Scale of Measurement of Enjoyment in Physical Activity (PACES), the Scale of Measurement of Motives for Physical Activity- Revised (MAPM-R) and the Sports Services Assessment Questionnaire (EPOD2) was applied. At least one of the three factors of the EPOD2 is a predictor of each of the factors of the PACES and MAPM-R questionnaires (perceived quality-enjoyment, satisfaction-boredom, perceived quality-intrinsic motivation, satisfaction-extrinsic motivation) correlated positively with the exception of boredom, which correlated negatively (r from -.128 to -.352), with the exception of extrinsic motivation, with which it did not correlate (r=.035). Boys showed higher indices of enjoyment than girls, with the opposite occurring in perceived quality, satisfaction and service value. Satisfaction was a negative predictor of extrinsic motivation (β= -.122). In conclusion, athletes in general enjoy, are motivated and feel satisfied, with values close to the maximum, with the service offered in sports facilities.
Keywords: Sports service, extracurricular physical activity, enjoyment, motivation, satisfaction.
