Numerosas investigaciones centran su atención en el estudio de las capacidades físicas que componen la condición física y el análisis de las posibles diferencias que pueden existir según las diversas variables. El objetivo de esta investigación es conocer la tendencia en los resultados obtenidos por investigaciones publicadas en la literatura científica en relación a la existencia de diferencias en función de las variables sexo, entrenamiento y edad en las capacidades físicas, fundamentalmente en la fuerza. Por tanto, se ha realizado una revisión de los artículos publicados en revistas de ámbito científico a través de palabras clave como género, edad y nivel de actividad. Los resultados obtenidos señalan que la tendencia en los artículos consultados es que en cuanto a la fuerza evaluada, tanto a través de salto como de dinamometría manual, los sujetos varones, los entrenados y los de mayor edad, son los que obtienen mejores resultados. En cuanto a la flexibilidad las mujeres y los sujetos entrenados son los que poseen mejores resultados. En lo que se refiere a la velocidad y resistencia los varones y los sujetos entrenados son los que obtienen óptimos efectos.
Abstract. Numerous investigations focus their attention on the study of physical abilities that make up fitness and analyzing the differences that may exist in terms of different variables. The objective of this research is to determine the trend in the published scientific literature regarding differences in terms of sex, age, and training in physical abilities, primarily in studies about strength. A review of articles published in different scientific journals was conducted using keywords such as gender, age and activity level. The results indicate that the trend in the articles is that regarding the strength assessed through both jump and manual dynamometry, the male subjects, the trained subjects and older subjects have better results. In terms of flexibility, females and subjects trained have better results. Finally in regards to speed and endurance , males and subjects trained have better results.
