Abstract. Wheelchair Basketball (WB) is a sport modality focused on people with physical disabilities because its players present movement difficulties as a result of amputations, problems in the musculoskeletal system, or spina bifida. Therefore, the present work aims to analyze the trend and evolution of publications that analyze performance in WB, through the use of a bibliometric review of the literature from the Web of Science database, including documents published up to current events (n = 209). The results show an exponential growth of 41.5% from 2008 to today. Furthermore, it is observed that Spain is the country that develops the most research. The University of the Basque Country is the institution with the highest number of studies (n = 19). Being, Aitor Iturricastillo and Javier Yanci the authors with the greatest number of published studies (n = 17). Likewise, analyzing the performance of WB players will allow us to analyze the performance of different athletes, since each athlete will present a different physical condition. To do this, specific tests must be carried out to analyze explosive strength, agility, and strength in the upper body. Also, the analysis of sports performance allows us to know the technical-tactical actions of the teams and players.
