Traducción y adaptación transcultural al contexto español del Person-Centred Practice Inventory-Care para pacientes

Fundamento. El cuidado centrado en la persona (CCP) influye positivamente en la persona, mejorando sus habilidades de autocuidado, autonomía, bienestar, calidad de vida y satisfacción con su experiencia de cuidado. El Person-Centred Practice Inventory-Care (PCPI-C) es un cuestionario que sirve para evaluar la percepción que los usuarios del sistema sanitario tienen sobre el CCP recibido. El objetivo de este estudio es obtener la primera versión del PCPI-C traducida y adaptada a nuestro contexto español.
Método. La traducción y adaptación transcultural del cuestionario PCPI-C siguió la guía Translation and Cultural Adaptation of Patient-Reported Outcomes Measures-Principles of Good Practice que incluye, además, una sesión cognitiva con un grupo de expertos y de usuarios de servicios de salud. También se evaluó la claridad y relevancia por ítem mediante el índice de validez de contenido por ítem y para el total del instrumento.
Resultados. No se encontraron dificultades para llegar a un consenso en la traducción de los términos. Por unanimidad, se decidió incluir en el cuestionario la definición del término compasión debido a su complejidad y confusión con otras palabras. El índice de validez de contenido por ítem fue excelente en relevancia en los 18 ítems y en claridad en 16. El índice de validez de contenido del instrumento mostró resultados excelentes para claridad y relevancia (≥0,95).
Conclusiones. Se ha obtenido la primera versión del PCPI-C en español adaptada conceptual y semánticamente, y equivalente al cuestionario original, con puntuaciones excelentes en claridad y relevancia.
