Resumo

O exercício físico é considerado vantajoso durante a gravidez e na recuperação pós-parto, trazendo vários benefícios para a mãe e para o bebé. As componentes da condição física relacionadas com a saúde e com a habilidade motora são parâmetros a considerar no estado de saúde da grávida. O objetivo deste estudo é perceber o efeito do exercício físico nos parâmetros da condição física, nomeadamente: força, resistência, flexibilidade, coordenação e equilíbrio, durante a gravidez. Esta revisão sistemática seguiu a metodologia descrita no PERSiST (implementing Prisma in Exercise, Rehabilitation, Sport medicine and SporTs science), com pesquisa nas bases Web of Science e PubMed com as palavras-chave: pregnancy, physical activity, exercise, physical fitness: strength, resistance, cardiorespiratory, flexibility, balance e coordination. Da busca resultaram 15 artigos considerados de qualidade: 1 artigo na Web of Science e 14 artigos na PubMed. O exercício físico produz benefícios para a condição física da grávida e no pós-parto, nomeadamente: força, resistência cardiovascular, equilíbrio e flexibilidade, bem como bem-estar e qualidade de vida, através de atividades semanais compostas por duas a três sessões com a duração superior a 45 minutos, intercalando trabalho de força dos grandes grupos musculares e do pavimento pélvico, exercícios posturais, de alongamento e de resistência cardiovascular. Verifica-se escassez de estudos sobre estas variáveis e grande diversidade de programas de treino e instrumentos de avaliação.
