Análise da relação entre o sprint de 5 m com a composição corporal, maturação biológica e indicadores antropométricos em jovens tenistas do sexo masculino

Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo analisar a relação entre o sprint de 5 m com a composição corporal, maturação biológica e indicadores antropométricos em jovens tenistas do sexo masculino. O estudo foi correlacional e transversal com a participação de 35 jovens tenistas do sexo masculino (15±0,5 anos) de nacionalidade chilena, selecionados de forma não probabilística por acessibilidade. O sprint de 5 m foi medido nas quadras de tênis e foram registradas variáveis antropométricas como massa corporal, altura, perímetros corporais (braço, coxa e perna) e dobras cutâneas (tríceps, região anterior da coxa e medial da perna). Foram calculados o pico de velocidade de aceleração de crescimento (APVC), percentual de gordura corporal (GC) e massa muscular esquelética (SMM). Os resultados mostraram que o sprint de 5 m esteve associado principalmente à prega medial da perna (R2=24%; p˂0,01) e ao GC (R2=13%; p˂0,05). Além disso, verificou-se que o aumento destes indicadores de adiposidade está relacionado com um maior tempo de sprint de 5 m (β= 0,02; 0,04 s, respetivamente). Entretanto, massa corporal, estatura, APVC e MME apresentaram baixa relação com o sprint de 5 m (p>0,05). Concluindo, o sprint de 5 m apresenta maior associação com indicadores de adiposidade, principalmente com prega medial da perna e GC. Além disso, melhores níveis nestes indicadores estão associados a um menor tempo de sprint de 5 m.
