Abstract. Cardiovascular Diseases (CVD) represent a primary challenge in terms of mortality and economic repercussions for health systems in Mexico and internationally. These conditions can cause a significant deterioration in the Health-Related Quality of Life (HRQoL), impacting the individual's functionality and biological, social, and psychological aspects. Faced with this reality, a literature review has been conducted to unravel how physical activity can mitigate cardiovascular risk and strengthen HRQoL in patients with CVD. Using a rigorous search strategy, 60 relevant articles were identified, excluding those that did not meet the defined inclusion criteria. The analysis derived from these works indicated that physical activity is beneficial in preventing and treating CVD, positively impacting various facets of individual well-being. In conclusion, this study highlights the importance of physical activity as a crucial element in improving HRQoL in patients with CVD. Additionally, its determining role as a preventive strategy against said conditions is highlighted, opening a new paradigm in cardiovascular care management. In the context of the constant fight against CVD, physical activity is not only positioned as an ally but as a silent and promising path towards a future of health and a better quality of life.
