University Faculty in Spain. Changes in their structure and demographic composition
Keywords:
University teachers, internal composition, Spain, demographyAbstract
For several decades research in different countries has suggested that university faculty have faced changes affecting the structure of the profession. This paper examines how legal changes have affected the structure of the profession in Spain. It also considers how the profession has been subject to demographic change. The paper notes an increasing internal diversification among faculty and evidence of an increasing proportion of women and older faculty staff in the profession. The paper is based on secondary data.Downloads
