Gender with class: the unequal conciliation between labor and family life

Women incorporation into labour market transformed the sex-segregation of work marked by patriarchy which assigned men to the public work environment and domestic sphere for women. Access to employment was carried out from a social background and with a particular studies, keeping in mind that when women comes into labour market it is done with a gender identity socialized in female principles related with care and to be for the others. The worklife-balance and family life refer how to organize the performance of both activities and how does it resolve through the ussage of differents strategies. The main goal in this article is analise the different strategies of work-life-balance and family life used by women of different social background. The methodology used in this investigation is qualitative, using a semistructured interview to a structural sample of urban women, mothers and workers today in the labor market.Downloads
