Efeitos de uma intervenção de Atividade Física em contexto escolar na qualidade e quantidade do sono de pré-escolares: Revisão sistemática

O sono é um processo fisiológico que desempenha um papel fundamental na função cerebral sistêmica de diferentes sistemas do corpo. A literatura científica associa um sono eficiente e de qualidade com um ótimo desenvolvimento cognitivo, físico e socioemocional durante os primeiros anos de vida. Muitos pré-escolares apresentam problemas de sono devido a um estilo de vida cada vez mais digitalizado, com uma inatividade física que não cumpre as recomendações mínimas de atividade diária e dada a influência do sono noutras populações, o objetivo do estudo foi determinar se uma intervenção de atividade física influencia a qualidade e duração do sono em pré-escolares. Foi realizada uma busca por ensaios clínicos randomizados nas bases de dados MEDLINE, Web of Science (WOS), Scopus, PsycINFO, Cinahl e SPORTdiscus, resultando finalmente em um resultado de 3 estudos incluídos e com uma amostra total de 1959 sujeitos. Os estudos analisados não mostraram influência de uma intervenção de atividade física na duração do sono, mas mostraram influência na qualidade do sono. A falta de evidências neste tipo de população não permite tirar uma conclusão clara, portanto, parece essencial gerar uma linha de pesquisa para saber com clareza que tipo de intervenção baseada na atividade física pode influenciar positivamente a quantidade e qualidade da o sono em pré-escolares.
