Estilos de vida e hábitos de uma comunidade universitária espanhola em tempos de COVID-19: um estudo transversal

Resumo

Antecedentes: A pandemia de COVID-19 causou uma interrupção sem precedentes em todos no mundo. O bloqueio e as restrições relacionadas a que a população espanhola foi submetida afetaram a saúde geral de nossa sociedade como um todo. Objetivo: O objetivo do estudo foi explorar o impacto da pandemia de COVID-19 no estilo de vida e hábitos da comunidade da Universidade de Vigo -Espanha-. Método: Foi realizado um estudo descritivo, observacional, transversal, por meio de uma pesquisa anônima de 76 perguntas. Resultados: foram recebidos 418 questionários, 359 (85,88%) considerados válidos para a análise. A população realizava atividade física várias vezes por semana (59,39%), não fumante (89,76%), etilista ocasional (>40% bebe não mais que 2-3 vezes/mês), dormia 7,06±0,9 horas/dia e a 60,59% perceberam seu estado de saúde atual como bom. Durante o lockdown eles permaneceram ativos (56,31%), seguiram recomendações seguras (96,86%), tiveram contato com pessoas infectadas (42%), desenvolveram a doença (6%) e necessitaram de internação hospitalar (0,40%). As pessoas inquiridas sobre a situação da pandemia estavam bastante ou muito preocupadas (89,84%), tiveram um impacto negativo na qualidade de vida (75,20%) e sofreram dores musculares e articulares devido ao uso excessivo de dispositivos eletrónicos (66,26%). Conclusão: Nossos achados mostram estilo de vida saudável, equilibrando atividade física e/ou rotinas esportivas com descanso adequado e minimizando hábitos tóxicos. Esse comportamento mantido ao longo do tempo, juntamente com o cumprimento das recomendações seguras, pode ter um papel protetor na saúde mental e física, minimizando a influência negativa do COVID-19.
