Integrando o Facebook ao modelo de educação esportiva: uma experiência prática

O aumento do uso educacional das redes sociais se deve ao fato de oferecerem recursos que facilitam tanto o acompanhamento da atividade acadêmica quanto os aspectos sociais inerentes ao processo educacional; no entanto, essas plataformas não são usadas rotineiramente como um recurso para a educação. O Facebook oferece diversos canais de comunicação e tem mostrado seu potencial para promover atividades colaborativas entre os alunos. Nesta experiência, o Facebook foi utilizado como ambiente para desenvolver as características do modelo de educação desportiva (época, filiação, competição formal, inscrição sistemática, clima festivo e celebração final) na área da Educação Física, utilizando os recursos do rede social. Cada uma das características do modelo pedagógico foi desenvolvida por meio das ferramentas da rede social em um grupo criado como recurso complementar à ação educativa em sala de aula. Os pais dos alunos participantes se inscreveram e puderam participar remotamente da atividade, que foi estendida para fora do centro educacional graças ao uso do Facebook. Os resultados mostram maior acompanhamento, envolvimento dos pais e construção de uma comunidade de prática. O modelo educacional utilizado pôde ser desenvolvido de forma mais completa, fazendo com que os alunos tivessem conhecimento da atividade fora do centro educacional.
