Atividade física e funções cognitivas em idosos: revisão sistemática dos últimos 5 anos

Resumo

Resumo. A atividade física (FA) afeta positivamente a saúde das pessoas em qualquer idade, de acordo com os resultados de diferentes estudos sobre a saúde cognitiva das pessoas idosas, os benefícios são mais evidentes. Por esse motivo, foi realizada uma revisão sistemática da literatura científica que aborda os efeitos da AF nas funções cognitivas (FC) em idosos. Quatro bancos de dados foram consultados: Scopus, Web of Science, ScienceDirect e Pub Med, e o mecanismo de pesquisa do Google Scholar. Após a aplicação dos critérios de seleção, restaram 31 artigos, analisados ​​em termos de) país, número de indivíduos e idade, b) variáveis ​​ec) foco, duração e resultados da pesquisa. Em geral, a FA melhora várias dimensões das funções cognitivas das pessoas idosas, onde medeia fatores genéticos e ambientais relacionados ao estilo de vida do indivíduo. Os tipos de FA comportam-se diferentemente em termos da dimensão da função cognitiva que melhoram. A determinação de marcadores bioquímicos (BDNF, dopamina, peptídeo β-amilóide, gama gama), ressonância nuclear magnética (RMN) e alterações na atividade elétrica do cérebro suportam a hipótese de que a FA produz alterações na forma e atividade cerebral, sem envolver mudanças significativas no comportamento observado e mensurável por testes padronizados de saúde mental.
