Resumo

Na América e na Europa, a maioria das crianças e adolescentes não cumpre as recomendações de actividade física da OMS. A literacia física, que engloba as competências e a disposição para a atividade física, é essencial para o desenvolvimento integral. Este estudo realizou uma revisão exploratória para descrever os processos de validação da segunda versão do CAPL-2 em crianças escolares dos 8 aos 12 anos. Foram identificados 39 artigos nas bases de dados, dos quais 7 cumpriam os critérios de inclusão. Os estudos demonstraram variabilidade nos processos de validação do CAPL-2, sendo que alguns realizaram validações completas e outros apenas dos questionários. As amostras variaram entre 57 e mais de 300 participantes, e apenas dois estudos mencionaram a randomização. A maioria dos estudos foi realizada na Europa e na Ásia, com uma notável falta de investigação na América Latina e Central. Embora os resultados apoiem a fiabilidade e a validade do CAPL-2, é realçada a necessidade de considerar contextos específicos na seleção das ferramentas de avaliação. A escassez de dados em regiões como a América Latina realça uma lacuna significativa na investigação sobre a literacia física nestes contextos culturais e socioeconómicos.
