A expressão corporal melhora o desenvolvimento da atenção e o controlo da impulsividade? Uma intervenção ecológica na educação física

Resumo

Pesquisas recentes têm mostrado uma diminuição da atenção e do controlo dos impulsos na infância. Por esta razão, o desenvolvimento das funções cognitivas das crianças, e especificamente da atenção e do controlo dos impulsos, tem despertado um interesse crescente na literatura científica. O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar a influência da expressão corporal no desenvolvimento da atenção e do controlo dos impulsos e a sua relação com o género em rapazes e raparigas dos 6 aos 8 anos. Um total de 43 rapazes e raparigas participaram nesta pesquisa. O teste FACES-R foi utilizado para avaliar a atenção seletiva e o controlo dos impulsos antes e depois de um programa de intervenção em linguagem corporal de 8 semanas. Após o programa de intervenção de expressão corporal (Pré-Pós) realizado em educação física (EF), todas as crianças melhoraram os resultados da atenção (p < 0,01, ES = 1,1 a 1,5, moderado a grande) , mas sem melhoria no controlo dos impulsos (p > 0,05, ES = 0,1 a 0,2, trivial). Concluindo, os resultados obtidos no estudo parecem indicar que a expressão corporal é um elemento adequado para desenvolver a atenção nas sessões de EF. Estes resultados podem ter implicações importantes para os professores de EF, pois permitem-lhes conhecer as ferramentas que melhoram o desenvolvimento da atenção para as implementar nas suas sessões.

Josune Rodríguez Negro es maestra funcionaria de educación física y Doctora en Actividad Física y Deporte por la Universidad del País Vasco (UPV/EHU). Su actividad investigadora está centrada en la educación física, la metodología y la innovación; dispone de más de 70 publicaciones en esta línea, y ha participado como ponente invitada y comité científico en numerosos congresos. Es miembro de varios grupos de investigación relacionados con la innovación y la educación física (Cod: 2021-1-PT01-KA220-VET-000025802; 2021-1-PT01-KA220-VET-000025802 y HEZKUNTZA23/09). Además, ha realizado 2 estancias internacionales en Italia y Finlandia, permitiéndole conocer su sistema educativo de primera mano. El año pasado publicó su primer libro en solitario “la gestión del aula en educación física”. Divulga en redes sociales bajo el nombre @lamagiadelaef.
