Alfabetização física e saúde mental: associações em estudantes de educação física primária e secundária

Resumo

Os fatores que influenciam a saúde, tanto física como mental, são de grande interesse para saber quais intervenções são eficazes para melhorá-la. Entre os jovens, a saúde mental é um grande problema nos tempos atuais, por isso é importante identificar quais elementos podem melhorá-la. A literacia física pode ser definida como a capacidade e motivação para capitalizar o nosso potencial móvel para dar um contributo significativo para a qualidade de vida, incluindo elementos como expressão, autoconceito e conhecimento sobre a importância da actividade física. O objetivo deste estudo é estudar as correlações entre a alfabetização física e suas dimensões e a satisfação com a vida, segundo sexo e localização escolar em alunos do ensino fundamental e médio. Para isso, aplicou-se Kolmogorov-Smirnov para identificar a normalidade dos dados; Posteriormente, na análise das correlações entre as dimensões da escala S-PPLI e do SLSS, foi aplicado o teste Rho de Spearman; e por fim, a confiabilidade das duas escalas foi verificada por meio do Alfa de Cronbach. Os resultados mostram correlações significativas em todas as dimensões e variáveis, de forma direta e de média magnitude, independentemente do sexo dos alunos e da localização da escola, revelando a alfabetização física como ferramenta para atuar na saúde mental dos alunos.
