Literacia Física e mobilidade ativa em contexto universitário: um estudo observacional transversal

Resumo

A literacia física (LF) é descrita como a motivação, confiança, competência física, conhecimento e compreensão para assumir a responsabilidade pelo envolvimento em atividade física (AF) para a vida. Estilos de vida mais ativos podem contribuir para cidades mais sustentáveis e sociedades mais saudáveis. Objetivo: Este estudo visa analisar a associação entre as várias dimensões da LF e o nível de AF atual e explorar a associação entre as várias dimensões da LF, o nível de AF atual, e um indicador central para a sustentabilidade – a forma de deslocação. Método: No âmbito do estudo LUSÓFONAtiva, 498 pessoas responderam a um inquérito digital, com idades entre 18 e 80 anos. Resultados: O score de LF total, bem como as dimensões Auto-motivação e Competência Motora, apresentaram associações positivas de magnitude média com a AF (r=.32, p<.001; r= .32, p<.001; r= .32, p<.001; respetivamente). As dimensões da LF Conhecimento, Oportunidade e Imagem Corporal revelaram uma associação positiva com a AF de magnitude baixa (r=.12, p<.05; r=.12, p<.05; r=.12, p<.05; respetivamente). Os resultados da associação do nível da AF com a Forma de deslocação (scores mais altos - deslocações mais motorizadas) evidenciaram uma correlação negativa de magnitude baixa (r=.20, p<.001). Por sua vez, a associação da Forma de deslocação com a variável subir escadas também mostrou que há uma correlação negativa significativa (r=.08, p<.05). Conclusão: A LF está relacionada com maiores níveis de AF e um nível mais elevado de AF está associado a uma forma de deslocação mais sustentável.
