Desenvolvimento de um estilo de vida ativo: uma breve revisão sobre barreiras socioculturais e de gênero na infância e adolescência

Resumo

O objetivo do estudo foi revisar na literatura quais são as barreiras socioculturais e de gênero para a prática de atividade física em crianças e adolescentes e como elas podem influenciar no desenvolvimento de um estilo de vida ativo. Foi realizada uma scoping review para oferecer uma visão exploratória da literatura e foi realizada nas bases de dados eletrônicas: PubMed, SciELO, Web of Science e Scopus. Foram incluídos estudos publicados entre 2000-2023 em espanhol, inglês ou português realizados em crianças e/ou adolescentes (de 6 a 17 anos) que oferecessem informações relevantes sobre atividade física em crianças e/ou adolescentes; com uma amostra composta apenas por meninas, apenas meninos ou ambos; estudos de revisão (metanálise ou escopo), originais (transversais, prospectivos, de intervenção e longitudinais); e estudos que apresentem discussão sobre as barreiras para a prática de atividade física, seja em seus resultados ou discussão com a literatura. Os artigos revisados ​​sugerem uma reorientação das abordagens educacionais e políticas; apoio familiar, especialmente das mães, na promoção da atividade física; e uma consideração para quebrar os estereótipos de género no ambiente escolar.
