Conceituar as posições éticas dos gestores de saúde e fitness; uma investigação empírica na Grécia

O objetivo deste estudo foi investigar as posturas éticas dos diretores de academias de ginástica na Grécia, usando uma versão adaptada do Questionário de Posição Ética (EPQ) (Forsyth, 1980). Da mesma forma, procuramos determinar se os diretores de academias de ginástica apresentavam maior inclinação ao idealismo ou ao relativismo. Para a realização deste estudo foram coletadas informações de uma amostra composta por 249 diretores de academias de ginástica, que preencheram a versão modificada do EPQ. O questionário original consistia em 20 questões, das quais 10 avaliavam o idealismo e 10 avaliavam o relativismo. O EPQ foi traduzido para grego e adaptado para se adequar ao contexto da indústria do fitness na Grécia, após a realização de vários estudos piloto. Foram realizadas análises fatoriais confirmatórias e exploratórias, resultando em um modelo de dois fatores com 12 questões. O EPQ modificado demonstrou ter boa consistência interna e validade convergente com construtos relacionados. Além disso, a categorização dos procedimentos normativos em tipos sugere que os diretores de centros de fitness na Grécia têm posturas éticas diferentes, com alguns favorecendo uma abordagem mais absoluta da ética, enquanto outros considere fatores situacionais. O exame das posturas éticas dos diretores de academias de ginástica pode fornecer informações valiosas para a criação de códigos de conduta ética e a implementação de iniciativas educacionais adaptadas a este setor.
