The social construction of quality. The case of agri-food sector

Esta sección monográfica pretende desarrollar una perspectiva sociológica sobre la calidad apoyándose en varios casos procedentes de los estudios sociales sobre la agricultura global. Para ello se pregunta qué es la calidad y cómo se construyen socialmente los estándares de calidad, cómo se ajustan los procesos productivos al cumplimiento de esos estándares, quiénes participan en ellos, cómo es la calidad del empleo de quienes elaboran productos de calidad. Así, la calidad emerge como una construcción social, disputada y contradictoria en la que está involucrado un amplio número de actores.
