Media communications influence constructs’ perceptions raising awareness attitudes about their audiences. The aim of this work focuses on analyzing the perception of child sexualization construct according to gender in the collective of young Spaniards, future professionals of the communication, using images of girls' stylings published in fashion magazines. Based on the results obtained through an online survey to a sample of 449 individuals, significant differences were observed in terms of gender. Men perceive different sexualizing attributes, in a significantly lower number and they are associated with body display. Women are more detail-oriented and sensitive to the construct analyzed and the characteristics tested. We recommend formation towards a type of social depictions that sexually objectify in order to prevent gender stereotypes.
