Despite criticism the video game, the most popular form of entertainment in our time, is also a promising propaedeutic tool, as shown in some recent studies and experiments. This possible didactic use may be also of interest to the classicist because a significant number of video game titles from classic subjects have been published during the more than thirty years of commercial viability for this kind of entertainment. In this paper we analyse in detail these aspects of what is one of the most conspicuous signs in current popular culture, and we make recommendations
for the use of video games in the classroom.
