Abstract
The subject of homework is a controversial topic, even more so when it is of a digital nature in the new scenario of virtual education. This study aims to find out the inference of the frequency of ICT use in academic tasks with respect to the perception that parents have. A descriptive-inferential research with a quantitative treatment of the data in which 1787 families participated by completing an ad hoc questionnaire. The results show that the families who find more benefits, but who experience greater emotional exhaustion, are those whose children do more digital homework. Furthermore, there is a significant relationship between the frequency of ICT use in academic tasks and the family's perception of the benefits, the development of skills and the emotional exhaustion experienced, in all cases in favour of those families with a high frequency of use. Thus, in view of the findings obtained, there is a need to educate families about the use of digital resources in school tasks in order to know how to extract the pedagogical potential of these resources so that they do not become an obstacle for the family.
