Abstract

The role of the nursing professionals in the Preventive Medicine services has a differentiated and specialised content, although this has so far gone unrecognised and it continues to be a polyvalent post. Given the lack of a more specialised 2nd cycle training, we consider the development of specific profiles to be a first step in defining our work positions within the preventive medicine team. It will serve as a guide for new incorporations in the short term, and, in the long term, for strengthening professional recognition in the different areas of work. It is important to unify the role of all the nursing professionals in this field in order to be able to offer the rest of our colleagues a solid and competent image of our activities.
