Resumo

O principal objetivo deste trabalho de investigação foi realizar uma revisão da eficácia de programas de exercícios de força e equilíbrio na prevenção de quedas em idosos. Para isso, foi realizado um processo de coleta principalmente nas bases de dados PubMed e Sciencedirect, selecionando os periódicos de maior impacto. A amostra é composta por 29 artigos selecionados levando em consideração as seguintes variáveis: ano de publicação, objetivos, amostra, instrumentos e conclusões. Os resultados mostraram que a maioria dos estudos foi desenvolvida em 2021, o objetivo principal de 16 deles era identificar um programa de exercícios físicos eficaz em casa para prevenir o risco de quedas em idosos, a idade da população era superior a 60 anos antigo, o instrumento mais utilizado foi o Timed Up and Go, e 93,1% dos artigos concluíram que um programa de exercícios domiciliares contribui para aumentar a força e melhorar o equilíbrio, reduzindo o risco potencial de quedas. Por fim, conclui-se que a utilização de programas previamente estabelecidos ou programas multicomponentes são eficazes com base na sua acessibilidade, na economia, na sua capacidade e qualidade, além de poder fazê-lo remotamente, pelo que a utilização de plataformas digitais como Facebook ou O YouTube é bastante útil.
