Resumo

O objetivo deste estudo foi examinar crianças com diferentes níveis de prática de futsal em habilidades motoras e indicadores de crescimento. Em uma amostra de 196 crianças de 11 a 14 anos, foram medidos o Körperkoordinationstest für Kinder (KTK) e a antropometria. Os resultados revelaram que não houve associação do nível de prática do futsal sobre os parâmetros de crescimento. Por outro lado, os resultados da ANCOVA (idade cronológica como covariável) indicaram que crianças que jogavam futsal ≥ 2 dias por semana tiveram desempenho significativamente melhor no salto lateral, saltos de pedal único e pontuação total do KTK do que seus pares. Esses achados fornecem uma justificativa para a prática mais frequente de esportes para o desenvolvimento da coordenação motora grossa.
