Força vs. pliometria Efeitos na velocidade linear e com mudanças de direção em jovens jogadores de basquete

Resumo

A velocidade é um dos principais indicadores para o desenvolvimento atlético do jogador de basquete. O objetivo deste estudo foi comparar os efeitos do treinamento de força (TR) e do treinamento pliométrico (TP) ao longo de oito semanas na velocidade em jovens jogadores de basquete. Para isso, 48 jogadores (16,42 ± 1,13 anos) foram divididos em três grupos: EF (n = 16), EP (n = 16) e grupo controle (GC) (n = 16). A velocidade linear em 10 e 20 m foi avaliada, assim como a velocidade com mudanças de direção com o teste de ônibus Pro-agility. Ambos os grupos EF e EP melhoraram significativamente todas as variáveis ​​de desempenho (p < 0,05). A FE foi a que obteve a melhora mais relevante no tempo parcial de 10 m (8,92%; ES = 0,65), enquanto o grupo EP melhorou mais no teste Pro-agility shuttle test (7,58%; SE = 0,57). Os achados deste estudo sugerem que em oito semanas a) tanto o treinamento de força quanto o pliométrico podem melhorar o desempenho de velocidade em jovens jogadores de basquete, e b) o treinamento de força pode ter um impacto maior na velocidade linear e o treinamento pliométrico na velocidade com mudanças de direção.
