As chaves do sucesso da canoagem espanhola: uma análise da eficiência das federações regionais

Resumo

Apesar de a canoagem não ser um esporte particularmente popular na Espanha, é uma das disciplinas olímpicas que mais sucesso proporcionou ao medalhista espanhol. Este grande desempenho da canoagem espanhola pode ser atribuído ao trabalho dos clubes e das federações regionais (FFAA), que são capazes de otimizar os escassos recursos de que dispõem, principalmente de transferências públicas. federações espanholas de canoagem (FFAAP) durante o ciclo olímpico 2013-2016 usando a técnica Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) e o índice de Malmquist. Uma segunda análise tenta identificar os principais fatores que levam à eficiência das federações. Os resultados mostram que, apesar das diferenças importantes entre as Forças Armadas, não existe um caminho único para alcançar a eficiência. Em geral, a disponibilidade de recursos aumenta as chances de obtenção de resultados, enquanto os treinadores e a competição interna ajudam a otimizar o desempenho dos recursos disponíveis.
