Efeito do curso de combate avançado no condicionamento das qualidades físicas e características antropométricas de alunos da Escola Militar de Cadetes General José María Córdova de Bogotá D.C.

O Exército Nacional da Colômbia garante o treinamento de seus alunos do curso avançado de combate, que simula operações militares reais. Este artigo busca verificar o efeito do curso de combate avançado nas qualidades físicas e antropométricas de alunos do Colégio Militar. Para tanto, foi realizado um estudo observacional, descritivo, com componente analítico, cujos sujeitos foram mensurados antes e depois do Curso de Combate. A amostra incluiu 113 participantes, 26 mulheres e 87 homens com idade média de 22 ± 1,3 anos, pertencentes à Escola Militar de Cadetes da Colômbia. As variáveis medidas foram peso, altura, circunferência da cintura e Índice de Massa Corporal, o VO2 máximo indireto com o teste de Leger, a força máxima do quadrante superior com o supino acoplado ao sistema T-Force®, força de preensão e costas com dinamometria e flexibilidade com o teste Sit and Reach. Mudança significativa foi evidenciada: controlada por gênero: circunferência da cintura p <0,001, IMC p = 0,000847, flexibilidade p = 0,0147, dinamometria dorsal p = 5,12e-05 e variável RM p = 9,26e-06; controlando para gênero e lateralidade: força de preensão esquerda p <0,001. Foi possível evidenciar redução do IMC e da circunferência da cintura. Ocorre aumento da força isométrica extensora do tronco com diminuição da flexibilidade lombar e isquiotibiais, gerando rigidez e estabilidade do tronco, permitindo suportar posturas e cargas. Houve melhora na força máxima de membros superiores e força de preensão esquerda, melhorando a capacidade de manter cargas.
