Efeitos da manipulação do ombro nas medidas eletromiográficas em atletas de tiro com arco durante a recuperação da fadiga: uma comparação entre sexos

Resumo

O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar os efeitos da terapia manual nas medidas eletromiográficas (EMG) dos músculos primários envolvidos no tiro com arco, considerando diferenças entre os sexos. Vinte atletas treinados de tiro com arco (homens: 14, idade: 32,1±6,6 anos; mulheres: 6, idade: 25,3±5,0 anos) participaram deste estudo experimental. Os atletas realizaram 100 tiros de arco e flecha, após os quais receberam terapia manual regenerativa. Medições EMG do deltóide médio, deltóide posterior, trapézio superior, trapézio médio, trapézio inferior e músculo infraespinhal foram feitas antes das injeções, após as injeções e após a terapia manual. Os resultados medidos incluíram a amplitude média e máxima do valor quadrático médio da raiz EMG (EMGRMS) e a frequência mediana do espectro de potência do sinal EMG de superfície bruta (EMGMED). As comparações entre os sexos revelaram EMGMED significativamente maior no trapézio superior após terapia manual em mulheres em comparação aos homens (F=5,096; p=0,037). Não foram encontradas outras diferenças significativas entre os sexos (p>0,05). Medições repetidas realizadas no início do estudo, após 100 disparos e após a terapia manual mostraram uma amplitude média de EMGRMS significativamente maior no infraespinhal após a terapia manual em comparação com após 100 disparos (169,7 vs. 109,8 µV; p = 0,008). Resultados semelhantes foram observados para amplitude máxima do EMGRMS (372,7 vs. 209,5 µV; p=0,010). Além disso, foi observada uma amplitude de pico de EMGRMS significativamente menor no início do estudo em comparação com após a terapia manual no trapézio inferior (312,6 vs. 551,2 µV; p=0,045). Em resumo, e de forma geral, a terapia manual não desempenhou um papel significativo na restauração dos parâmetros EMG nos músculos primários dos arqueiros após exposição a uma condição de fadiga. Porém, mostrou eficácia no caso do infraespinhal. Além disso, com exceção do trapézio superior, não foram observados efeitos significativos entre os sexos, indicando efeitos semelhantes em ambos.
