Desenvolvimento e validade de um instrumento para avaliar as barreiras percebidas pelos adolescentes para o deslocamento ativo para a escola

Resumo

Objetivo: Desenvolver e validar um instrumento para avaliar as barreiras percebidas pelos adolescentes brasileiros para o deslocamento ativo para a escola. Métodos: Os participantes deste estudo foram adolescentes brasileiros (15-17 anos) de escolas públicas da cidade de Curitiba, Paraná, Brasil. Uma subamostra (n=44) foi selecionada para a realização de grupos focais, onde os resultados apresentaram barreiras para o deslocamento ativo de nível intrapessoal, interpessoal e ambiental. Na sequência, 200 adolescentes participaram do processo de validação do instrumento. Para análise de validade foi realizada a análise fatorial exploratória e confirmatória, e para análise de consistência interna foi utilizado o alfa de Cronbach (α). Resultados: O ajuste foi satisfatório: χ2(27) = 58,6, p < 0,001, comparative fit index (CFI) = 0,92, root mean square error of approximation (RMSEA) = 0,076; standard root-mean-square residual (SRMR) = 0,051, com pontuação média de 8,4 (desvio padrão [DP] = 5,5), alfa de Cronbach (α) de 0,77 (0,72-0,82). Conclusões: O instrumento final incluiu 7 questões e apresentou validade fatorial satisfatória e consistência interna adequada, sendo considerado uma medida válida para avaliar as barreiras percebidas pelos adolescentes para o deslocamento ativo para a escola. Programas de incentivo ao deslocamento ativo devem incorporar os achados deste estudo para melhorias nos aspectos de segurança pública e infraestrutura.
