Estudo da aceitação de tênis de corrida com placa de carbono com modelo de aceitação tecnológica hedônica

Resumo

Objetivo: O surgimento dos tênis de corrida com placa de fibra de carbono (ZPC) significou uma mudança disruptiva nos calçados de corrida de longa distância, pois aumentam significativamente o desempenho atlético. Porém, são calçados mais caros e têm menor durabilidade que os convencionais. Este documento examina como fatores associados a um modelo hedônico de aceitação tecnológica influenciam a aceitação deste equipamento entre atletas amadores. Design/metodologia/abordagem: Utilizamos uma amostra de 252 atletas amadores na qual explicamos a intenção de usar ZPCs com base em três fatores: utilidade percebida, motivação hedônica e norma subjetiva. As relações entre as variáveis ​​foram modeladas por meio de equações estruturais ajustadas por mínimos quadrados parciais (EE-MCP). Resultados: A análise descritiva dos itens relacionados à aceitação de tênis sugere uma tendência geral à aceitação de ZPCs. Os resultados da análise EE-MCP indicam que embora o impacto direto da utilidade percebida e da motivação hedónica tenham significado na intenção de usar ZPCs, a influência da norma subjetiva não o faz. Por outro lado, quando levamos em conta todos os efeitos (diretos e indiretos) sobre a intenção de utilização da ZPC, o maior efeito total advém da variável normativa. Da mesma forma, verificamos que o modelo possui capacidade preditiva. Limitações/implicações da pesquisa: Este estudo foi realizado após a World Athletics já ter publicado os novos regulamentos sobre tênis de corrida. Num contexto que não é necessariamente de corrida de longa distância, seria interessante realizar um estudo semelhante sobre uma tecnologia que pudesse melhorar o desempenho desportivo antes de ser regulamentada e depois comparar os resultados com os obtidos depois de já ter sido regulamentada. . Implicações práticas: Os resultados deste documento sugerem que o modelo de aceitação tecnológica proposto pode fornecer uma abordagem valiosa para avaliar a aceitação de inovações avançadas em equipamentos desportivos por atletas amadores, quando a sua principal motivação para a prática de um determinado desporto é hedónica.
