Exploração da relação entre competência motora e desempenho físico em crianças pré-escolares: um estudo transversal

Resumo

Objetivo: A competência motora (CM) e a aptidão física são fatores importantes para uma vida saudável ao longo da vida. O objetivo do estudo foi avaliar a associação entre competência motora e desempenho físico em crianças de 4 a 6 anos. Métodos: Cento e trinta e nove crianças em idade pré-escolar (78 meninos e 61 meninas) da província de Tekirdağ, Turquia, participaram da pesquisa. A competência motora foi avaliada por meio da bateria de testes Körperkoordenationstest für Kinder (KTK+3) combinada com uma tarefa alternativa de lançar e pegar bolas com uma mão no primeiro dia de estudo. No segundo dia do estudo, os participantes realizaram uma série de testes de desempenho, incluindo o Miniboard Balance Test, o Pro Agility Test e o Countermovement Jump Test. Resultados: Análises de correlação parcial não mostraram associação entre competência motora e resultados de testes de desempenho. O teste de análise r-z de Fisher também demonstrou que o gênero não teve efeito significativo nos resultados quanto à possível associação entre competência motora e desempenho físico. Conclusão: Não foi encontrada associação significativa entre competência motora e desempenho físico em crianças de 4 a 6 anos. O gênero também não influenciou essa relação. Estas descobertas sugerem que são necessárias mais pesquisas com amostras maiores e mais diversas para compreender melhor a ligação entre competência motora e desempenho físico na primeira infância.
