Análise comparativa de dois protocolos de treinamento de força na velocidade de arremesso no handebol feminino

Resumo

O lançamento à baliza é uma habilidade fundamental no andebol. A sua eficácia requer, entre outros factores, um desenvolvimento significativo da força explosiva. O treinamento isométrico pode fornecer um poderoso estímulo neuromuscular para seu aumento. Apesar de sua importância e praticidade, poucos estudos abordaram o efeito desse tipo de treinamento na velocidade de arremesso no handebol feminino. No presente trabalho, 20 jogadores foram divididos em dois grupos: treinamento isométrico (GI, n=10) e treinamento dinâmico (GD, n=10). Durante nove semanas, duas vezes por semana, ambos os grupos treinaram força de impulso de membros superiores: GI realizou força isométrica máxima e GD realizou força dinâmica a 80% de uma repetição máxima (1RM). Em ambos os casos o esforço foi seguido de lançamento de bolas medicinais. As cargas de ambos os grupos foram iguais em termos de série e duração. Pré e pós-intervenção, foi estimado o 1RM de cada jogador por meio de teste de progressão de carga no exercício supino reto. A velocidade de lançamento com e sem mirar um alvo a uma distância de sete e nove metros também foi medida por radar. Os resultados mostraram tendência de melhora em ambos os grupos (ligeiramente maior no GI); mas apenas a velocidade de lançamento sem mira a partir de 9 metros no GI alcançou significância estatística (p < 0,05). A correlação entre 1RM estimado e velocidade de arremesso foi baixa a moderada. Em suma, ambos os tipos de treinamento apresentaram resultados semelhantes. Dadas as vantagens práticas oferecidas pelo treinamento isométrico, os resultados sugerem que tal treinamento poderia constituir uma alternativa eficaz e prática para melhorar a força e a velocidade do arremesso no handebol.
