O compromisso com o esporte modifica as necessidades psicológicas: um estudo sobre indivíduos que praticam exercícios físicos regularmente

Resumo

Continuar a praticar esportes é tão importante quanto começar. A falta de atividade física em certas modalidades esportivas pode causar problemas psicológicos. Por este motivo, este estudo procura explicar as alterações vivenciadas por pessoas que treinam em centros de musculação três dias por semana durante pelo menos doze meses ao interromperem o seu programa de treino, bem como mostrar a relação entre as suas necessidades psicológicas desportivas e o seu empenho. esporte. O estudo examinou 249 pessoas (66 mulheres e 183 homens) que praticavam exercício físico através do esporte, utilizando um modelo de pesquisa quantitativo e qualitativo. A pesquisa utilizou uma escala de comprometimento esportivo, uma escala de necessidades psicológicas esportivas e um formulário de informações pessoais. A análise de conteúdo foi utilizada para análise qualitativa dos dados, enquanto a análise quantitativa utilizou regressão linear e análise de correlação de Pearson. De acordo com os resultados qualitativos do estudo, os participantes vivenciam sentimentos positivos quando participam de exercícios e sentimentos negativos quando não o fazem. No grupo estudado, a análise quantitativa encontrou uma relação positiva, embora fraca, entre necessidades psicológicas e atividade desportiva. Descobriu-se que os participantes aproveitam mais a vida, sentem-se mais capazes e felizes quando praticam esportes, enquanto quando não dedicam tempo ao esporte sentem-se vazios e insatisfeitos.
