Realidade virtual imersiva e sua influência nos parâmetros fisiológicos de pessoas saudáveis

Resumo

Os videojogos ativos ou exergames estão em alta ultimamente, pois motivam e promovem o exercício físico e hábitos de vida saudáveis. Os programas de exercícios de realidade virtual imersiva (IVR) podem ser comparados aos programas de treinamento tradicionais. Um ponto de partida para isso seria explorar as respostas fisiológicas que seu uso pode gerar. Portanto, o objetivo principal foi avaliar a resposta através de determinados indicadores fisiológicos (frequência cardíaca, pressão arterial e estresse) após exposição a um exergame RVI em uma amostra de adultos saudáveis, e, em segundo lugar, explorar a sua viabilidade, segurança e usabilidade como um ferramenta para facilitar o exercício físico. Participaram do estudo 37 adultos saudáveis ​​(22-54 anos, 54,1% mulheres). Eles realizaram uma sessão de exergame com o hardware HTC Vive ProTM. Todos completaram a sessão RVI sem efeitos adversos significativos. Todos os parâmetros fisiológicos avaliados aumentaram significativamente em relação aos níveis pré-intervenção. Em relação aos desfechos secundários, a percepção subjetiva de esforço correspondeu ao exercício moderado a intenso (6,3±0,5/10 na escala CR10 de Borg), a intervenção foi considerada segura (1/37 relatou consciência estomacal moderada no Simulator Sickness Questionnaire), com boa usabilidade ( >76% na Escala de Usabilidade do Sistema), avaliado positivamente pela amostra (0,05/4 pontuações negativas de experiência no Questionário de Experiência de Jogo-pós-jogo), e 100% da amostra relatou uma experiência boa ou muito boa e a recomendaria. Esses resultados sustentam que nossa sessão de exergame RVI foi viável e pode ser comparada à atividade física moderada a vigorosa, pois envolveu esforço percebido semelhante com aumentos significativos na frequência cardíaca, pressão arterial e níveis de cortisol salivar.
