Pautas para la elaboración de mapas de orientación de centros escolares y de jardines

La actividades de adaptación al medio se incluyen en el currículum de las diferentes áreas que conforman el Diseño Curricular Base. El área de Educación Física es la que las integra de forma mas directa, mediante las actividades en el medio natural, que aparecen recogidas tanto en el diseño curricular base, como en el currículum del área de Educación Física para las etapas de Primaria y de Secundaria. Dentro de las actividades en el medio natural encontramos como más novedosa para los alumnos/as la orientación en la naturaleza. Esta modalidad deportiva es una actividad muy atractiva que permite a sus participantes un contacto muy estrecho con el medio natural y puede ser planteada de forma competitiva (carreras de orientación) o ludico- recreativa, siendo ésta última la que a nosotros nos interesa desde el punto de vista docente. En el inicio de la enseñanza de la orientación, las actividades realizadas son comunes independientemente de la finalidad que se persiga.
