Mediante esta investigación, pretendemos estudiar las repercusiones que está teniendo y va a tener la celebración de un evento social y deportivo como los Juegos Mediterráneos de Almería 2005 en el estilo de vida del alumnado almeriense de Enseñanza Secundaria Postobligatoria y de la Universidad de Almería; obteniendo al mismo tiempo, una información crucial que va a posibilitar la mejora de la política de actuación en materia deportiva, gracias al establecimiento de perfiles sociodemográficos de los demandantes de una u otra actividad. En este estudio, analizaremos socialmente las tendencias en los comportamientos, demandas, motivaciones, oferta y práctica físico-deportiva.

Abstract: The aim of the present study was to investigate the influence of a large-scale social and sports event: Mediterranean Games Almería 2005, on secondary school pupil’s actual and future way of life. Behavior, demands, motivations, offers and sports practice trends were socially analyzed. This information will allow sports researchers to establish sociodepographic profiles depending on the physical activities demanded. Moreover, official organizations could enhance their plans of action related to sports.
