Evolución de la gestión del deporte en el territorio español: síntesis (Evolution of sport management in the Spanish context: synthesis)

La Gestión deportiva es un área de conocimiento profesional y científica relativamente joven con un enorme potencial por desarrollar a nivel teórico y práctico. Es por ello que, el objetivo del presente trabajo es profundizar en la evolución de la misma: pasado, presente y tendencias futuras. Fruto de una revisión bibliográfica sobre fuentes documentales de gestión y gestión del deporte, se expone una síntesis de cuáles han sido sus antecedentes desde la antigüedad al siglo XIX y su desarrollo en el territorio español en los siglos XX-XXI. Las reflexiones finales incluyen algunas orientaciones futuras que van encaminadas a fortalecer la disciplina. En concreto, se recomienda disponer de organizaciones flexibles, profesionales formados, nuevos sistemas de dirección y gestión y potenciar la investigación.

Abstract: Sport management is a young professional and scientific area of knowledge with high practical and theoretical potential. That is why, the main objective of this article is to analyze the evolution of it: past, present and future tendencies. After a bibliographical review about management and sport management, we explain a synthesis of what was the antecedents from the antique to the XIX century and what is its development in the Spanish context in the XX and XXI century. The final conclusion includes some future orientation that explains how we could strengthen the discipline. In particular, we recommend to have flexible organizations, qualified professional, new systems of direction and management and to increase the number and quality of the research.
