Vol. 34 No. 1 (2025): Miscellaneous articles and controversy about the floods in Valencia

The issue 34(1) of the Spanish Journal of Sociology features five miscellaneous articles covering: (a) the role of special individuals in reducing stress among women scientists, (b) the influence of political preferences on romantic attraction and rejection, (c) emotions in human-dog relationships, (d) family identity transformations with the arrival of companion animals, and (e) the rise of political parties capitalizing on voter dissatisfaction in regions experiencing institutional marginalization. Moreover, this issue includes three articles on the floods in Valencia, discussing their impact on employment, the significance of vulnerability, and future research directions in Sociology. Finally, the issue presents a book review on the globalization of art.
