La brecha de género en la religiosidad en España: el papel del nivel educativo y la posición social

Resumen

La mayor religiosidad de las mujeres en los países de mayoría cristiana ha recibido un gran interés durante décadas, pero sus causas siguen siendo objeto de controversia. Se sugiere que la brecha de género en la religiosidad tiende a reducirse cuando las mujeres encuentran su posición social mejorada respecto a la de los hombres. Este estudio analiza el rol moderador del nivel educativo, la ocupación y el tipo de actividad no remunerada a partir de regresiones logísticas binomiales en la probabilidad de ser creyente en España, con datos de 114.122 individuos en 2024. Los resultados evidencian que, cuando las condiciones educativas y socioeconómicas son más favorables, la religiosidad de las mujeres tiende a equipararse a la de los hombres.
