Abstract

The paper informs us that due to the developing of the high velocity railway network, Valladolid is going to
consolidate its function as a connecting nucleus as within the general transport infrastructure of the North
Western zone of the Iberian Peninsula. This will offer many advantages for the locating there of a multimodal
logistic platform —be it in Valladolid or in the villages thereabouts— that could well compete with the
logistic infrastructure of other Spanish regions. This platform could likewise contribute to solving the
industrial and transport problems of the city itself.
