The contribution of "Ciudad y Territorio Estudios Territoriales" journal to the disciplinary debate in the last 50 years (1975-2025)

This paper reviews the contribution of the journal Ciudad y Territorio Estudios Territoriales to the disciplinary debate on the subjects related to the topics covered in it. After a first section summarising the history of the journal from its beginnings in 1968 to its current configuration as a confluence of other previous publications, the text reviews the contents and focus of the journal in the last 50 years. Some aspects are highlighted, such as its multidisciplinary nature and the variety of topics covered in detail, with special focus on the coverage of territorial aspects, the contribution to the debate on land and urban planning legislation or to the reflection on the discipline of urban planning. Its innovative nature and its international vocation and projection are also pointed out.

Authors are encouraged to reproduce and host their work published in CyTET in institutional repositories, web pages, etc. with the intention of contributing to the improvement of the transfer of knowledge and the citation of said works.
