The Network Analysis in Intermediate Cities on High Speed Rail Lines

Abstract

The paper classifies the various types of joints to High-speed rail lines of medium size cities in
intermediate position in High-speed rail lines connecting major metropolitan urban regions. The
article compares the way in which the High-speed network is implemented in the cities of Córdoba,
Valladolid and Zaragoza; it also analyses the opportunities and challenges associated with different
types of joints of these cities to the High-speed rail network, to inter-metropolitan flows and to the
relations of these cities with other smaller cities in its regional environment.
