The Territorial Isolating of Urban Poverty

Abstract

The paper examines the ties between social and housing policy over the last decade in Argentina and uses
to do so the ‘Ciudad de los Milagros’ neighbourhood in the Gran Resistencia metropolitan zone of Chaco
Province. The paper wishes to draw attention to the way that the policies in question had led to an even greater
breaking up of the urban residential fact, this bringing with it a further isolation and territorial stagnating
of that poverty which these policies set out to eliminate.
