Abstract

The Sierra de Alhama presents a very different evolution of its N and S slopes. On its southern slope there is an important development of coherent landslides that are absent on the north slope. These have been produced by the different structure of that mountain on each slope, combined with erosion, and the probable action of important paleoearthquakes.
