Systematic sampling of Palaeozoic metasedimentary rocks in a sector of the central Pyrenees has been carried out within the framework of two projects focused on the geophysical investigation of potential fields. This sampling, whose objective was the study of petrophysical properties, has allowed the analysis of rock density data obtained from 290 samples. At the same time, the density variation has been analysed as a function of the metamorphic grade of each lithostratigraphic units and the protolith composition. The results show that the High-Temperature and Low-Pressure (HT-LP) metamorphism in the area influenced the rock density, generally producing an increase in density with respect to that of the protolith.
