Identidades de género, mecanismos de subalternidad y procesos de emancipación femenina

Este trabajo examina el significado de diferentes identidades asignadas a las mujeres en las representaciones culturales históricas, desde la perspectiva de sus implicaciones como mecanismo de subalternidad de género. Explora diversas manifestaciones del discurso de la domesticidad, los modelos de género de feminidad y, de este modo, su impacto en la persistencia de un imaginario colectivo negativo sobre las mujeres. A pesar de la superación de este discurso hoy en día en relación con las europeas, el estudio demuestra la continuidad del papel de las representaciones culturales de la domesticidad en la construcción de la subalternidad y de la doble alteridad, cultural y de género, de las mujeres inmigrantes en España. Por último, el estudio plantea la cuestión del desafío a las identidades asignadas y se centra en las prácticas que adoptan las mujeres, a partir de estrategias identitarias y de representación diversas, en los procesos de emancipación y de realización de sus derechos.
